EAP

FREE – CONFIDENTIAL – COMPASSIONATE

The Employee Assistance Program (EAP) offered by IAM Local 1487 is designed to provide our members with the support they need to navigate personal and professional challenges. From mental health resources to financial counseling, our EAP is a cornerstone of our commitment to your well-being.

As part of the Machinists Union, our EAP reflects our values of solidarity and mutual aid. Members have access to confidential counseling services, legal assistance, and a variety of other resources aimed at improving quality of life. Our program is tailored to address the unique needs of our union members, ensuring that you have the support you need, when you need it.

WHAT IS EAP?

EAP is a confidential, worksite-based program designed to benefit members and their dependents in the identification and resolution of personal problems or concerns that may adversely affect their job performance. The International Association of Machinists’ believes it is in the interest of the member, their family, the IAM, and its partner companies to provide help for members experiencing difficulties.

HOW DOES EAP WORK?

 GUIDANCE   +   ASSISTANCE   +   SUPPORT

Trained and experienced EAP Representatives carefully evaluate a range of wellness programs to ensure those seeking assistance will receive the highest levels of professionalism and care. These programs include addiction specialists, family and marriage counselors, trauma experts and licensed therapists, among many others. When you call an EAP Representative, they will help you locate custom treatment options for your unique circumstances. They can explain how to work with your insurance and guide you through the process of obtaining the care you need. Our EAP support is compassionate, confidential, free, and just a phone call or text away.

The services of the EAP are available to you at no cost. If you are referred to a care provider, your EAP Representative can help identify all the discounts, incentives and financial assistance you may be entitled to. The EAP maintains the highest levels of confidentiality and respect for your personal privacy. You are in complete control over how your personal information is shared.
